Pixie Ice Cream Pty. Ltd. manufactures all of the products in the Home Ice Cream range. The factory has a certificate of accreditation as a Dairy Processor (114171-000), which is audited regularly by Safe Food Queensland.
The factory, as a holder of this accreditation, complies with the requirements of Queensland’s Food Production (Safety) Act 2000 and the Food Production (Safety) Regulation 2002.
This is achieved by utilising Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) as a process control measure to prevent the manufacture of out of specification product. All product manufactured at the factory is tested to comply with the National Food Standards Code.
The factory successfully passed the last audit, conducted in September 2018, from Safe Food Queensland.
The factory has a HACCP certification (FSAU14/8621) expiring 3/10/18, and the international SQF (Safe Quality Food) code edition 7.2 certification (640126) expiring 17/11/18. We have just passed our most recent audits in October 2018 for HACCP and SQF, and are awaiting certificates.
All products are made in a production plant that also manufactures products containing peanuts and tree nuts.
Due to the possible use of common lines, the possibility of traces of nuts cannot be totally eliminated from all products.
*Some products are listed as a nut free recipe, as they do not contain any nuts in the recipe, and are made first after the mix plant, pipe work, vats and machines have been washed and sanitised.
None of the ingredients used in our products contain Genetically Modified Organisms.
Our Ice Cream and Water Ices are free from Palm oil. However, some inclusions used in our products contain Palm oil.
Products with inclusions which contain Palm oil are: Hokey Pokey Duo cones.
